Children Card

We are pleased to announce that the Board has resolved to extend the offer of the Children Card to your beloved son(s) and daughter(s) for the period from 1st January until 31st December 2026. NO SUBSCRIPTION FEE is required, and a separate card will be issued to the user.

During the aforementioned period, your son(s) and daughter(s) can enjoy the Club’s facilities.  The consumed amount will be shown on your monthly statement.  Come and join us! Please contact the Membership Department for the application form and details. 

 

Eligibility for Children Card Application

  • Applicants: Only the son(s) and/or daughter(s) of a full member are eligible to apply.

  • Approval: The Club reserves the sole discretion to approve applications upon receipt of valid supporting documents (e.g., Birth Certificate or other relevant documents). Failure to provide such documentation may result in the Club being unable to approve the application.

  • Conditions: Children cardholders must be single and under the age of 25.

  • Administration Fee: An administration fee of HK$200.00 will be charged for each application.

  • Liability: The principal card member shall be held liable for all debts and liabilities incurred by both the principal card member and each child cardholder.


Notice on Bad Weather Arrangements

 

To ensure the safety and well-being of our members, the following arrangements will apply during adverse weather conditions:

Typhoon Signal No. 3

  • The Club will remain open and operate as usual.

Typhoon Signal No. 8 or Above

  • Once Typhoon Signal No. 8 or higher is hoisted, the Club will be temporarily closed. Members are advised to reschedule their visits accordingly.
  • Should Typhoon Signal No. 8 or higher is expected to be hoisted soon, members are advised to reschedule their visits accordingly.

Resumption of Services

  • If Typhoon Signal No. 8, Extreme Weather Conditions, or a Black Rainstorm Warning is cancelled before 11:00 a.m., lunch service will resume as usual.

  • If the above warnings are cancelled before 5:00 p.m., dinner service will also be provided for members’ enjoyment.

Rainstorm Warnings

  • During Amber or Red Rainstorm Warnings, the Club will remain open for members.

  • If a Black Rainstorm Warning is unexpectedly hoisted during operating hours, members are kindly advised to remain in a safe place until conditions improve.

Notice of 3/F Passage Closure

 

In the interest of member safety and to prevent potential hazards, the Board has resolved to close the passage connecting the 2nd floor to the 3rd floor of the Chinese Restaurant (location indicated in the image below). Temperature variations have recently caused the flooring in this area to become slippery, presenting a risk to members.

Please be advised that this closure will take effect on 2 June 2025 and will remain in place until further notice. During this period, the passage will not be accessible. We kindly ask all members to use alternative routes when accessing the Club premises.

Electronic Communication

In order to reduce the paper wastage to protect our environment, and deliver the paperless real-time information (e.g.: Circular / Urgent News of the Club) to our members more effectively, the Club is planning forward to become more environmentally friendly to use the Electronic Communication (e.g.: Email & SMS) in the future, while the present way of Paper Mailing will be replaced gradually to serve the purpose. To achieve this, your help in completing our internal database is of utmost importance to us. Please click here to download and complete the form and return it to our Membership Department.

 


Rules of the Club

The Club has received complaints from several members expressing that they were annoyed by other members and their guests who spoke in foul language on the Club premises.  Please note that members and their guests should maintain courtesy towards other users and the Club's staff.  Direct confrontation with other users should be avoided.  The Floor Manager or his delegate shall have the power to request any person to leave the Clubhouse if his/her conduct, in the opinion of the Floor Manager or his delegate, causes disturbance to other users of the Club.  For details, members may refer to Clause 15 of the Club’s Bye-laws, a copy of which is available from our Membership Department upon request.

Members who have grounds for complaint against other users of the facility or Club's staff or who wish to suggest improvements shall refer the matter in writing to the Membership Department.

 


Notice on Live Music Session Arrangements

Please be informed that a minimum consumption of HKD 300 will be applicable to each member and their guests who choose to participate in the Live Music Session. The sessions are held regularly from 19:00 to 23:30  every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at the 4/F, Grand Chariot of  of the Club.

Furthermore, please be assured that the Club will make every effort to accommodate members and their guests at their requested tables. However, seating arrangements are subject to the actual booking situation on the day.

The working hours of our Office

  • Monday to Friday 9:30 am – 6:00 pm and closed on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays

The Opening Hours of our Restaurants and Bar

  • 11:30  to 23:30

 


Screen Projector System upgrade

To enhance the visual experience for our valued members, the system of screen projectors in the Chinese restaurant of the Club will be upgraded in August. With higher resolution, contrast, sharpness, brightness and quality of image, members can enjoy the flawless image projection while holding their private meetings or parties in the Club.

       


Corkage fee

Please note that the corkage fee has been adjusted with effect from 1st April 2017, details as follows:

  • Wines (750ml)           HK$100 per bottle
  • Liquors                       HK$200 per bottle

 


Personal Data and Privacy Protection

In accordance with the Data Security Principle of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, our club has been taking practicable actions to safeguard all personal data of members from unauthorised or accidental access, loss or use.

In this regard, please be reminded that when any requests are made by third parties to access or release members’ personal data from our Club, a written consent letter with the member’s signature is required. Your cooperation and understanding will be highly appreciated.

 


Cheque Payment By Mail

Please note that with immediate effect, Hong Kong Post ceased to provide door delivery for underpaid mail.  Mail items addressed to the Club without sufficient postage will be returned by Hong Kong Post to the sender, who will be charged with the deficiency plus a surcharge.  Mail items without a return address will be disposed of by Hong Kong Post in accordance with their established procedures for handling undeliverable mail.  For proper delivery of your cheque payment to the Club, please ensure your mail items bear sufficient postage before posting.

In the meantime, the Club would like to advise members to use the direct-debit system for settlement of accounts. We believe that members will appreciate the merits of this system both for the convenience of Members and the Club in handling accounts.  

   


Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Camera System

For security reasons, a Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) camera system has been installed inside the Club. All recorded videos will be kept under safe custody, and only authorised staff can access these videos.

 


Dress Code for The Club

Please be informed that below is the minimum standard of dress code for the Club:-

Men – jeans, T-shirt, tracksuits, shorts, and shoes for sports activities. Unacceptable attire – singlets (including sleeveless T-shirts) and flip-flops. Ladies are required to dress to a comparable standard.

The Club reserves the right to refuse entry to those members or guests who have not met the minimum requirements of the Club.

 


 

Membership Transfer Program

 

According to the 250th Board Meeting, it was resolved that members who were 70 years of age or above could transfer their Membership to their direct family members, i.e., son or daughter, with only 50% of the current entrance fee to be paid to the Club.

Free Wi-Fi Service

Members can access the internet using their laptops or PDA at no charge in the Club. For those who need this service, please contact our Receptionists to get the login password for the Wi-Fi.

 


Direct-Debit

The Board of Directors requests that members use auto-pay for the settlement of their monthly subscription and account dues to avoid oversight of payment.

The Board of Directors may terminate the membership of those members who fail to pay their accounts in accordance with Article 16 ofthe  Memorandum and Articles of the Club.

 


The Smoking (Public Health) (Amendment) Ordinance 2006

Please be informed that the Smoking (Public Health) (Amendment) Ordinance 2006 was passed into law on 27th October 2006. With effect from 1st January 2007, all indoor areas in workplaces, restaurants and public places (including the back staircase of the Club) will be designated as no-smoking areas. Members & guests are welcome to smoke outside at our patios on the 4th floor.

 


Club (Safety of Premises) Ordinance, Cap372

According to the Club (Safety of Premises) Ordinance, Cap 372,

"….the club shall only be operated for affording its members facilities for social intercourse or recreation, and the club-house shall at all times be used by the club, its members and their accompanied guests…."  

Members are requested to give their full cooperation and present their membership cards for identification and sign their chits when settling their bills.  And, all guests must be accompanied by members whilst at the Clubhouse premises.

We trust our Members would cooperate in observing the ruling and help build a better image for the Club in future.

 


Banquet Deposits Arrangement

According to the 290th Board meeting, it was resolved that any bookings by members at an expense of HK$50,000 or above are required to place 50% deposits, or the Club may refuse any bookings unless adequate deposits are received.

 


Suggestion Box

In order to maintain and further enhance the standard of services provided to our members, the Club has arranged for a Suggestion Box to be placed at the reception counter. Members are welcome to drop in their valuable comments and constructive ideas for the Club.
