Rules of the Club

The Club has received complaints from several members expressing that they were annoyed by other members and their guests who spoke in foul language on the Club premises.  Please note that members and their guests should maintain courtesy towards other users and the Club's staff.  Direct confrontation with other users should be avoided.  The Floor Manager or his delegate shall have the power to request any person to leave the Clubhouse if his/her conduct, in the opinion of the Floor Manager or his delegate, causes disturbance to other users of the Club.  For details, members may refer to Clause 15 of the Club’s Bye-laws, a copy of which is available from our Membership Department upon request.

Members who have grounds for complaint against other users of the facility or Club's staff or who wish to suggest improvements shall refer the matter in writing to the Membership Department.

 


Minimum Consumption Policy in Live Music Session of the Club

Please be informed that beginning from 1st June 2019, a minimum consumption of HKD$100 will be applicable to every member and their guests who decide to participate in the Live Music Session that starts from 07:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., which regularly holds on every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 4/F of the Club.  An exemption of minimum charge will be granted to the members and their guests who participate the Live Music Session after 10:30 p.m.

 

Furthermore, please assured that the Club will try our best to ensure the members and their guests can properly arranged to their requested table, however it is subjects to the on-day actual booking situation.

Monday to Friday 9:30 am – 6:00 pm

Closed on Saturdays Sundays and Public Holidays

12 noon to 12 midnight

 


Screen Projector System upgrade

To enhance the visual experience for our valued members, the system of screen projectors in Chinese restaurant of the Club will be upgraded in August. With higher resolution, contrast, sharpness, brightness and quality of image, members can enjoy the flawless image projection while holding your private meetings or parties in the Club.

 


Children Card

We are pleased to announce that the Board has resolved to extend the offer of Children Card to your beloved son(s) and daughter(s) for the period from 1st January until 31st December 2023. NO SUBSCRIPTION FEE is required and a separate card will be issued to the user.

 

During the aforementioned period, your son(s) and daughter(s) can enjoy the Club’s facilities.  The consumed amount will be shown on your monthly statement.  Come and join us! Please contact the Membership Department for application form and details. 

 

Eligibility:

  • Son(s) and/or daughter(s) of the full member only;
    (The Club has the sole discretion to approve the application in accordance with the copies of the Birth Certificate, ID card or relevant document, failure to provide such document may result in the Club unable to approve the application.)
  • Children card’s holder must be single and age below 25;
  • The Administration Fee for each application is HK$200.00;
  • The principle card member is held liable for the debts and liabilities of the principal cardmember and each children card user.

       


Corkage fee

Please note that the corkage fee has been adjusted with effect from 1st April 2017, detail as follow:

         Wines (750ml)           HK$100 per bottle

         Liquors                       HK$200 per bottle

 


Personal Data and Privacy Protection

In accordance with Data Security Principle of Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, our club has been taking practicable actions to safeguard all personal data of members from unauthorized or accidental access, loss or use.

In this regard, please be reminded that when any requests made by third parties of accessing or releasing members’ personal data from our Club, a written consent letter with member’s signature is required. Your cooperation and understanding will be highly appreciated.

 


Cheque Payment By Mail

Please note that with immediate effect, Hong Kong Post ceased to provide door delivery for underpaid mails.  Mail items addressed to the Club without sufficient postage will be returned by Hong Kong Post to the sender, who will be charged with the deficiency plus a surcharge.  Mail items without return address will be disposed by Hong Kong Post in accordance with their established procedures for handling undeliverable mail.  For proper delivery of your cheque payment to the Club, please ensure your mail items bear sufficient postage before posting.

In the meantime, the Club would like to advise members to use the direct-debit system for settlement of accounts. We believe that members will appreciate the merits of this system both for the convenience of Members and the Club in handling accounts.  

   


Chariot Club Charitable Foundation Ltd

The Chariot Club Charitable Foundation Ltd. was founded in 2011 with the primary aim to help the underprivileged people.  Over the years, more than two millions have been benefited from its donations through different charitable organizations. 

On behalf of all the beneficiaries, special thanks are given to Mr. She Kwong Wah for his generous donation to the Foundation of HK$10,000 in December 2016.  Furthermore, we would also like to express our sincere thanks to all members and their friends/families who have rendered support to our work throughout the years.

For those who would like to donate to the Foundation, please send us a crossed cheque made payable to “The Chariot Club Charitable Foundation Ltd”.  Receipts will be issued to donors of HK$100 or above for tax deduction.

 


Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Camera System

For security reason, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) camera system has been installed inside the Club. All recorded videos will be kept under safe custody, only authorized staff can access to these videos.

 


Dress Code for The Club

Please be informed that here below is the minimum standard of dress code for the Club:-

Men – jeans, T-shirt, tracksuits, shorts, and shoes for sport activities. Unacceptable attire – singlets (including sleeveless T-shirt) and flip-flops. Ladies are required to dress to a comparable standard.

The Club reserves the right to refuse entry to those members or guests who have not met the minimum requirements of the Club.

 


Membership Transfer Program

According to the 250th Board Meeting, it was resolved that members who were 70 years of age or above could transfer their Membership to their direct family's members i.e.(son or daughter) with only 50% of the current entrance fee to be paid to the Club.

Members who are interested in this Transfer Program, please contact our Membership Department at 2521-6271, ext. 12 anytime during office hours.

 


Free Wi-Fi Service

Members can access the internet using their laptops or PDA at no charge in the Club. For those who need this service, please contact our Receptionists to get the login password for the Wi-Fi.

 


Direct-Debit

The Board of Directors requests members to use auto-pay for settlement of their monthly subscription and account dues to avoid oversight of payment.

The Board of Directors may terminate the membership of those members who fail to pay their account in accordance with Article 16 of Memorandum and Articles of the Club.

 


The Smoking (Public Health) (Amendment) Ordinance 2006

Please be informed that the Smoking (Public Health) (Amendment) Ordinance 2006 was passed into law on 27th October 2006. With effect from 1st January 2007, all indoor areas in workplaces, restaurants and public places (including the back staircase of the Club) will be designated as no smoking areas. Members & guests are welcome to smoke outside at our patios on the 4th floor.

 


Club (Safety of Premises) Ordinance, Cap372

According to Club (Safety of Premises) Ordinance, Cap372, that "the club shall only be operated for affording its members facilities for social intercourse or recreation and the club-house shall at all times be used by the club, its members and their accompanied guests".  (Letter from the Home Affairs Department is attached for reference).

Members are requested to give their full cooperation and present their membership cards for identification and sign their chits when settling their bills.  And, all guests must be accompanied by members whilst at the Clubhouse premises.

We trust our Members would cooperate in observing the ruling and help build a better image for the Club in future.

 


Membership Card

According to Article 8a of the Bye-Laws, which states that "…… A member shall produce his Club Membership Card when he uses the facilities of the Club or at the request of the staff of the Club in execution of their duties."  As there are many new members as well as new floor staff joined the Club recently, to minimize the discrepancy caused by manual input of membership data, members are kindly reminded to produce their membership cards when requesting for bills.  For those who have lost their membership cards, please contact our Membership Officer, Ms Cecilia Kong to issue a replacement card.

 


Banquet Deposits Arrangement

According to the 290th Board meeting, it was resolved that any bookings by members at an expenses of HK$50,000 or above are requested to place 50% deposits, or the Club may refuse any bookings unless adequate deposits are received.

 


Suggestion Box

In order to maintain and / or improve our standard of services provided for our members, we have arranged a 'Suggestion Box' to be placed at the reception counter for members to throw-in their valuable comments and constructive ideas to the Club.

Your precious opinions will be definitely helpful and valuable in assisting us to improve our services to members in future.
