Begin operating with “Type D” mode in the Club
With effect from 19th August 2021 (Thursday), the Club will begin operating in ‘Type B’ + ‘Type C + Type D’ mode of Vaccine Bubble in the premises, while the current preventive measures will remain unchanged. Besides, if members would like to consume in Zone D, please follow the guidance under the Hong Kong Government, details as below:-
- Maximum 12 persons per table (At least two-thirds of persons at the same table must have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine)
- Dine-in service of the Club operates until 2:00 am (While the Club closes at 12:00 midnight)
- Maximum 180 participants in any one banquet (At least two-thirds of the total number of participants must have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine)
- Members and their guests must use the “LeaveHomeSafe” mobile application.
- Person aged 65 or above, or aged 15 or below, who are unable to use the ‘LeaveHomeSafe’ mobile app, must complete the Government specific form.
- Those aged 15 or below accompanied by an adult who has already scanned the ‘LeaveHomeSafe’ QR code, then the said members or guests do not need to fill out the Government specific form.
Please note the ‘LeaveHomeSafe’ QR code will be displayed at the entrance of the restaurants.

In the designated ‘Type C’ dining zone of Clubhouse, the Club will follow the below guidance given by “Food and Environmental Hygiene Department” to regulate the dining zone, including:-

Maximum 20 participants in any one banquet.
Members and their guests must use the “LeaveHomeSafe” mobile application.
Person aged 65 or above, or aged 15 or below, who are unable to use the ‘LeaveHomeSafe’ mobile app, must complete the Government specific form.

The Chariot Club Notice – Regarding COVID 19 Case (26th February 2021)
The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) reported to the Club yesterday a suspected COVID19 case maybe located on 20th February , over the next day (26th February) noon, the CHP confirmed that a patron has tested positive for COVID-19. The patron who was a member's guest. They had a dinner group on 20th February (Saturday) and was seated at the VIP room (雅賢廳) of Chinese restaurant at 3/F on that day.
Given concern to the members' health, the Board has promptly decided that the Club actioned for deep cleaning and sanitizing procedures of whole Club area by a professional cleaning company (EcoLab Ltd.) on 25th February 2021 night. Besides, all frontline staff members of the Club were tested with COVID 19 quick test and no infection was found.
We are hereby wishing the patron a speedy recovery and thank all Members' understanding at this challenging time, and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that may have caused. Please continue to be vigilant, stay safe and healthy.

COVID-19 Latest Preventive Measures (Updated on 16th February 2021)
In accordance to the latest guidance from《Prevention and Control of Disease (Business and Premises) Regulation》news announced by Food and Health Department on 10th February 2021. With effect from 18th February 2021 (Thursday), the following prevention measures will be taken during the operating hour, until further notice:-
1. Seating Capacity per table will be restricted to 4 people in lunch and dinner
2. Keep a distance of 1.5 meters between each dining table
3. Please wear mask at all time in the Club premises, except whilst consuming food & drink
4. Our staff will help to measure the body temperature of members & guests when entering the Club
5. Disinfectant hand sanitizers are provided to members and guests to use at the reception area
6. Member(s) & visitor(s) must scan with the "Leave Home Safe" Apps when entering to use the Club's service
(If unable to use the "App", please be required to complete the Health Declaration Form provided by the Club mandatorily )
Besides, to enhance the safety level of members & guests on the premises, all other facilities and protocols already in place and communicated to members in previous notices will be continued, including in use of Ionizer Dehumidifiers, 3M Antibacterial Carpet, Disinfection Storage Cupboard. Also, a designated working team will be arranged with the Sterilization Spray in the Clubhouse on regular basis.

In addition, the club had contacted the “Chan & Hou Medical Laboratories Ltd. “ on 30th Nov. 2020 and had arranged all staff members to undergo the COVID-19 test, the results showed all our staff members were tested negative without infection. Thank you for your attention.
The Chariot Club – Urgency Notice:
Temporarily Closure of the Whole Clubhouse on 29 November 2020 (Sun)
The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) contacted the Club today, (28 November) to inform us that a patron of the Club has tested positive for COVID-19, who was a member's guest and had a group lunch on 19 November. The patron was seated at the main dining area of Chinese restaurant (close to window side) on that day. With confirmation by the member today, the rest diners of the group were tested negative and no infection was found.
Given concern to the members' health, the Board has decided that the Club will be temporarily closed for a full day tomorrow (29 November) for deep cleaning and sanitising procedures of whole Club area. Afterwards, the Club will resume normal operation on 30 November accordingly.
We are hereby wishing the patron a speedy recovery and thank all Members' understanding at this challenging time, and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience that may have caused. Please continue to be vigilant, stay safe and healthy.

COVID-19 Preventive Measures Updated & Health Declaration Form
Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 became a global pandemic, to enhance the awareness of personal safety to every individual stays in the premises. The Club requests all members and guests to complete this declaration form mandatorily when using our service.
Please be noted that we are unable to provide any of the Club’s services to the members due to followings:-
(1) have been travelled to any of the countries / regions where the COVID-19 case found.
(2) have been in close contact with any person who confirmed as a Covid-19 case in the past 14 days.
(3) have been in close contact with any person who travelled from the affected counties and regions in past 14 days.
(4) have any illness in related to flu-like symptoms so far.
In addition, a warm reminder to members that you are responsible for your accompanied guests and yourself to ensure the health and travel history is not against the terms stated abovementioned.
Preventive measures in epidemic outbreak period
In order to ensure the health and safety of members and guests while enjoying our dining service in the epidemic outbreak period, the Club has taken the following measures:-
All members & guests are advised to measure the body temperature when visiting the Club. If the body temperature exceeded 37.6 degrees of any individual, we regret that the Club will not provide service to the individual concerned, please be advised to go immediate medical check in the Clinic.
All staffs are advised to measure the body temperature before commence their duty. Any staff whose temperature exceeded 37.6 degrees, they will be arranged for the medical treatment in the clinic.
All staffs were given reminder to avoid in visiting Mainland China prior to the Lunar New Year by the Club. However, if the staff who returned from Mainland China, they are prohibited to work until the 14 days home quarantine period is completed.
Since 28th January 2020, the Club has assigned a specialized cleaning team to clean up the Clubhouse on a frequent basis in order to ensure a high level of cleanliness and hygienic standard.
All frontline staffs are required to put on mask before report their duty.
The implementation of above measures are aimed to provide the best secured level of cleanliness and hygienic standard to members and their guests to enable them enjoy our service in a safety environment. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Minimum Consumption Policy in Live Music Session of the Club
Please be informed that beginning from 1st June 2019, a minimum consumption of HKD$100 will be applicable to every member and their guests who decide to participate in the Live Music Session that starts from 07:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., which regularly holds on every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 4/F of the Club. An exemption of minimum charge will be granted to the members and their guests who participate the Live Music Session after 10:30 p.m.
Furthermore, please assured that the Club will try our best to ensure the members and their guests can properly arranged to their requested table, however it is subjects to the on-day actual booking situation.

Bad Weather Arrangements
When the No. 3 typhoon signal is hoisted during the opening hours of the Club, and it is expected that the higher typhoon signal will be hoisted in a short time, the Club will be opened as usual. During the time, if the member plans to visit the Club, we recommend that the member plesae change the date of visit, due to the Club will be closed accordingly when the No. 8 or higher typhoon signal is hoisted. Besides, please note the club will completely close until all members leave the premises in due course under the safe condition.
When the No. 8 or higher typhoon signal is cancelled at or before 11:00 am, our lunch catering service will be provided continually. When the No. 8 or higher typhoon signal is cancelled at or before 5:00 pm, the dinner catering service will also be provided in order to serve the members.
In the case of Amber, Red or Black rain warning signal is hoisted during the operating hour, the Club will still open for members to enjoy.
Screen Projector System upgrade
To enhance the visual experience for our valued members, the system of screen projectors in Chinese restaurant of the Club will be upgraded in August. With higher resolution, contrast, sharpness, brightness and quality of image, members can enjoy the flawless image projection while holding your private meetings or parties in the Club.
We are pleased to announce that the Board has resolved to extend the offer of Children Card to your beloved son(s) and daughter(s) for the period from 1st January until 31st December 2018. NO SUBSCRIPTION FEE is required and a separate card will be issued to the user.
During the aforementioned period, your son(s) and daughter(s) can enjoy the Club’s facilities. The consumed amount will be shown on your monthly statement. Come and join us! Please contact the Membership Department for application form and details.
Son(s) and/or daughter(s ) of the full member only;
(The Club has the sole discretion to approve the application in accordance with the copies of the Birth Certificate, ID card or relevant document, failure to supply such document may result in the Club unable to approve the application.)
Children card’s holder must be single and age below 25;
The Administration Fee for each application is HK$200.00;
The principle card member is held liable for the debts and liabilities of the principal cardmember and each children card user.
Please note that the corkage fee has been adjusted with effect from 1st April 2017, detail as follow:

Personal Data and Privacy Protection
In accordance with Data Security Principle of Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, our club has been taking practicable actions to safeguard all personal data of members from unauthorized or accidental access, loss or use.
In this regard, please be reminded that when any requests made by third parties of accessing or releasing members’ personal data from our Club, a written consent letter with member’s signature is required. Your cooperation and understanding will be highly appreciated.
Cheque Payment By Mail
Please note that with immediate effect, Hong Kong Post ceased to provide door delivery for underpaid mails. Mail items addressed to the Club without sufficient postage will be returned by Hong Kong Post to the sender, who will be charged with the deficiency plus a surcharge. Mail items without return address will be disposed by Hong Kong Post in accordance with their established procedures for handling undeliverable mail. For proper delivery of your cheque payment to the Club, please ensure your mail items bear sufficient postage before posting.
In the meantime, the Club would like to advise members to use the direct-debit system for settlement of accounts. We believe that members will appreciate the merits of this system both for the convenience of Members and the Club in handling accounts.
Chariot Club Charitable Foundation Ltd
The Chariot Club Charitable Foundation Ltd. was founded in 2011 with the primary aim to help the underprivileged people. Over the years, more than two millions have been benefited from its donations through different charitable organizations.
On behalf of all the beneficiaries, special thanks are given to Mr. She Kwong Wah for his generous donation to the Foundation of HK$10,000 in December 2016. Furthermore, we would also like to express our sincere thanks to all members and their friends/families who have rendered support to our work throughout the years.

Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Camera System
For security reason, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) camera system has been installed inside the Club. All recorded videos will be kept under safe custody, only authorized staff can access to these videos.
Dress Code for The Club
Please be informed that here below is the minimum standard of dress code for the Club:-
Men – jeans, T-shirt, tracksuits, shorts, and shoes for sport activities. Unacceptable attire – singlets (including sleeveless T-shirt) and flip-flops. Ladies are required to dress to a comparable standard.
The Club reserves the right to refuse entry to those members or guests who have not met the minimum requirements of the Club.
Membership Transfer Program
According to the 250th Board Meeting, it was resolved that members who were 70 years of age or above could transfer their Membership to their direct family's members i.e.(son or daughter) with only 50% of the current entrance fee to be paid to the Club.
Members who are interested in this Transfer Program, please contact our Membership Department at 2521-6271, ext. 12 anytime during office hours.
Free Wi-Fi Service
Members can access the internet using their laptops or PDA at no charge in the Club. For those who need this service, please contact our Receptionists to get the login password for the Wi-Fi.
The Board of Directors requests members to use auto-pay for settlement of their monthly subscription and account dues to avoid oversight of payment.
The Board of Directors may terminate the membership of those members who fail to pay their account in accordance with Article 16 of Memorandum and Articles of the Club.
The Smoking (Public Health) (Amendment) Ordinance 2006
Please be informed that the Smoking (Public Health) (Amendment) Ordinance 2006 was passed into law on 27th October 2006. With effect from 1st January 2007, all indoor areas in workplaces, restaurants and public places (including the back staircase of the Club) will be designated as no smoking areas. Members & guests are welcome to smoke outside at our patios on the 4th floor.
Club (Safety of Premises) Ordinance, Cap372
According to Club (Safety of Premises) Ordinance, Cap372, that "the club shall only be operated for affording its members facilities for social intercourse or recreation and the club-house shall at all times be used by the club, its members and their accompanied guests". (Letter from the Home Affairs Department is attached for reference).
Members are requested to give their full cooperation and present their membership cards for identification and sign their chits when settling their bills. And, all guests must be accompanied by members whilst at the Clubhouse premises.
We trust our Members would cooperate in observing the ruling and help build a better image for the Club in future.
According to Article 8a of the Bye-Laws, which states that "…… A member shall produce his Club Membership Card when he uses the facilities of the Club or at the request of the staff of the Club in execution of their duties." As there are many new members as well as new floor staff joined the Club recently, to minimize the discrepancy caused by manual input of membership data, members are kindly reminded to produce their membership cards when requesting for bills. For those who have lost their membership cards, please contact our Membership Officer, Ms Cecilia Kong to issue a replacement card.
Banquet Deposits Arrangement
According to the 290th Board meeting, it was resolved that any bookings by members at an expenses of HK$50,000 or above are requested to place 50% deposits, or the Club may refuse any bookings unless adequate deposits are received.
In order to maintain and / or improve our standard of services provided for our members, we have arranged a 'Suggestion Box' to be placed at the reception counter for members to throw-in their valuable comments and constructive ideas to the Club.
Your precious opinions will be definitely helpful and valuable in assisting us to improve our services to members in future.
